Police Arrest Driver In Fatal November Crash

JENNINGS COUNTY – Indiana State Police Detectives have arrested a driver in connection to a fatal crash last year.

The accident occurred on SR 7 in Jennings County on November 27. Investigators say Devin Ray Fear, 19, of Scipio, was operating a vehicle that crossed the center line and struck a Chevy Impala driven by Michael Clinton Clay Taylor, 21, of North Vernon.

Taylor died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Police arrested Fear on Friday on a warrant for reckless homicide and driving while suspended.

Fear was booked into the Jennings County Jail as detectives say he did not have driving privledges at the time of the crash as a result of not filing for car insurance, driving while suspended and repeated insurance violations.

The car he was driving had no insurance coverage at the time of the crash.
