The Greensburg Boys Track and Field team hosted Franklin Community Tuesday and fell to the Grizzly Cubs 97-35 on Senior Night. The Pirates competed well against a strong and dominate Franklin team. The loss drops the Pirates to 1-2 in dual meets this season.
The night started with the team celebrating their 10 seniors. They are: Cody Bauer, Dylan Cain, Conner Deaton, Landon Diekhoff, Jared Hasselbring, Kevin Johnson, Reid McClintic, Louis Moore, Zach Pokrzywinski and Jadrian Woods. A big thank you for all their hard work and dedication to the sport and team.
Pirates Meet Results:
1st Place finishers. Long Jump: Daimon Austin 19′ 1″ PR; Discus: Tanner Yonts 125′ 3 1/2″ PR; High Jump: Zach Pokrywinski 6’2″ PR –Tied for #6 all-time in school history.
2nd place finishers. 110Hurdles: Vincent Pavy 18.5; 1600m Run: Hasselbring 4:52.3; Shot Put: Yonts 41′ 10″; 400m Dash: Woods 55.6.
3rd place finishers. 110Hurdles: Colling Springmeyer 18.6; 100m Dash: Pokrzywinski 11.5; 1600m Run: McClintic 4:53.9; Long Jump: Pokrzywinski 18’1″; 200m Dash: Isaiah Myer 24.1; 300m Hurdles: Pavy 47.1; Pole Vault: Matthew Myer 9’6″; 400m Dash: Austin 56.
The Pirates will be in action Friday evening when they travel to St. Leon for the East Central Invitational.
