Osgood Man Gets Car Stuck In Yard, Goes To Jail

A local man accused of theft was picked up by police on Tuesday after he got his vehicle stuck in the yard of the residence he was trying to leave.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron Powers, 26, of Osgood after receiving a report from watchful neighbors about a suspicious vehicle and a man removing items from a barn at a residence on CR 700 N near Osgood.

Police say they arrived on the scene and discovered that Powers attempted to leave the property but his vehicle got stuck in the yard.

The suspect was arrested and police say he was in possession of stolen property.

Powers was booked into the Ripley County Jail under suspicion of theft (class D felony). Bond was set at $1,050.
