OA’s Cora Weisenbach Names Honorable Mention Academic All-State

OA TwisterThe Indiana Coaches of Girls Sport Association has informed OA that softball player Cora Weisenbach has been named Softball Academic All State Team-Honorable Mention! This prestigious award is limited a certain number of athletes. Qualifications include a minimum GPA of 3.5, minimum SAT score of 1100, minimum ACT score of 24. The athlete’s overall class ranking is also taken into consideration when determining academic all state team members.

In addition to the spring recognition, Cora also qualified for the Academic All State Girls Basketball team by ICGSA standards. Cora will attend the University of Cincinnati in the fall. The OA community congratulates Cora for receiving this recognition, and thanks her for her hard work and dedication to not only her athletics, but also her academics! Way to represent OA!

Registration for programs for the Fall II, 2014 session at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA will be Monday,  September 22nd  through September 28th  for members, and Thursday, September 25th through September 28th  for potential members.  The programs for the FalI II, 2014 session will begin on Monday,  September 29th.   For more information on the Fall II session schedule, go to: www.siymca.org or call 934-6006.

This is a fun and free family event. Purdue College of Technology, Columbus is hosting and open house for families to explore our different majors through interactive activities, test their strength at our balloon blasters challenge, take a silly photon in our photo booth, and challenge their reflexes in our mega wire game. Families can enjoy a first come, first served dinner while mingling with faculty and staff, get their questions answered by student services professionals, and apply to Purdue College of Technology on the spot!
