Ripley County Communications received a 911 call about a two vehicle crash that occurred on East County Road 500 N near Milan around 3:30 p.m.
The crash involved a 1997 Chevy S-10 picking driven by a 17-year-old minor, and a Milan School bus operated by Thomas Reale, the assistant superintendent for Milan Community Schools.
The 17-year-old told deputies she was leaving her residence when she did not stop or look both ways at the end of her driveway. Her vehicle struck the Milan School bus almost head-on
Nineteen students were on the school, and none were injured. They were subsequently loaded onto a second bus and continued their route.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office said the crash remains under investigation and a citation could be issued.
