Nellie Mae Doss, 92 of Moores Hill passed away Wednesday April 27, 2016 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Nellie was born Thursday May 3, 1923 at Liberty, Ky the daughter of Fitzhugh and Neatie (Norman) Bolt. She married Carl L Doss August 9, 1952 and he preceded her in death February 14, 1968. Nellie taught schools for 51 years, 5 years in Milan School and retired from Lawrenceburg Community Schools. She was a member of the Moores Hill United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Indiana State Teachers Association and Retired Teachers Association.
Nellie is survived by Daughters: Karen Sue (Glenn) Eddy of Terra Haute, , Patricia L. Gilliland of New Albany; nieces: Ann Libunao of Versailles, Rita Harwell of Moores Hill; nephew Ron Bassett of St. Petersburg, FL. 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday April 30, 2016 at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home, Mooreshill, with Pastor Ted Hammrick officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Liberty, KY. Visitation will Saturday 10-11AM also at the funeral home Memorials may be made to Moores Hill United Methodist Church or the Heart Fund.
