Mrs. Judith Dora (Prechtel) Jackson, age 67, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on July 6, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the loving daughter of, Hilbert William and Margaret Alice (Riter) Prechtel. She was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she was a 1967 graduate of Hughes High School. Judy was united in marriage on July 1, 1967, in Falmouth, Kentucky, to Benny Jackson and to this union arrived a son, Joseph and a daughter, Heidi to bless their home. Benny and Judy shared 49 loving years of marriage together until her death. Judy and Benny owned and operated the Bear Branch General Store in Bear Branch, Indiana and the Hog Wash Laundry Mat in East Enterprise, Indiana. Judy was a member of the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay, Indiana. Judy and Benny resided in the East Enterprise community for 40 years. She was a wonderful homemaker and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Judy passed away at 1:50 pm, Thursday, July 7, 2016, at her residence in East Enterprise, Indiana.

Judy will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 49 years: Benny Jackson of East Enterprise, IN; her son: Joseph Jackson and his wife: Juanita of East Enterprise, IN; her daughter: Heidi Casey of East Enterprise, IN; her grandchildren: Dylan and Cheyenne Casey of East Enterprise, IN; her mother: Margaret Alice (Riter) Prechtel of West Harrison, OH; her sister: Janice Elsen of West Harrison, OH and her several nieces, nephews and other relatives

She was preceded in death by her father: Hilbert Prechtel.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 11, 2016, at 1:00 pm, by Bro. David and Bro. Harold Jackson at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

 

Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.
