Mr. Mark Steven Turner, age 61, of Indianapolis, Indiana, entered this life on November 12, 1955, in Greenfield, Indiana, the loving son of the late, Larry J. and Sonja M. (Girt) Turner. He was raised in Greenfield, Indiana and was a 1973 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Mark owned and operated Turner Remodeling for over 30 years. He was employed for Western Electric and for John Deere in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mark was a huge NASCAR fan and had traveled to many of the different tracks to enjoy the races. He loved AJ Foyt and David Pearson. Mark also enjoyed playing golf and camping as well as listening to country music. He loved George Jones, Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty. Mark traveled all over the world on a dart league and held the world championship title. Mark will be deeply missed by his friends and family who have all seen his willingness to drop whatever he was doing to lend a helping hand. Mark passed away at 1:34 am, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the IU Health University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana
Mark will be deeply missed by his aunt: JoAnn Searcy of Ft. Worth, TX; his uncle: Carroll David Turner of Milwaukee, WI and his several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Larry J. Turner, died December 11, 2003 and Sonja M. (Girt) Turner, died December 24, 2002; his sister: Diana L. Henderson, died January 30, 2009 and his aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Howard Wade at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
