MMH Providing Free Home Drug-Testing Kits

drug-testBATESVILLE, Ind. — Margaret Mary Health has formed a partnership with the Stain’ Alive of Franklin County to provide parents with urine drug-testing kits.

In 2015 Margaret Mary Health had 31 overdose cases, 18 of which were individuals under the age of 30.

Hepatitis C is also on the increase in the area.

The hospital saw 34 cases in 2014, but in 2015 there were 41.

By providing parents with these kits, children can be tested in the privacy of their own home.

In addition, hospital staff say if children know they may be tested, they may be less likely to use.

The free drug-testing kits can be picked up at any of the following locations:

  • Brookville Library
  • Community Mental Health Center (Brookville)
  • Laurel Library
  • Margaret Mary Health
  • Margaret Mary Health Center of Brookville
  • Oldenburg Academy
