Craven1Michael G “Mike” Craven, 67,  of Aurora, IN , passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Cincinnati, OH.

He was born Friday, February 22, 1946 in Batesville, Indiana, Son of the late Warren Craven and Verna Naegele Craven.

He worked for LMS Water Conservatory, retiring after over 27 years of service.

He was a 1964 graduate of Milan High School.  Mike was a member of the U.S. Auto Club Mechanic.  He loved racing, and even served as a pit crew member for Johnny Parsens, Jr. racing all over the south and east regions of the U.S.  Mike also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are mother, Verna Craven of Milan, Indiana,  sisters, Phyllis (Ralph) Joerger of Guilford, IN, Melissa (Michael) McMannon of Independence, KY; and several  nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, Warren.

Friends will be received 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, at 11:00 am with Pastor Tom Holt officiating.

Interment will follow in the Craven Cemetery,  Milan, Indiana.

Hopewell Baptist Church is hosting a 7-week intensive study for teenagers ages 13 – 18 over the issues that they are facing such as cutting, drinking, drugs, effects of divorce, and suicide. These discussions will take place every Sunday starting January 17 through March 6 from 6 – 8 pm.
