Rogers2Mary Jane Rogers, 86, of Lawrenceburg, IN. passed away Monday, October 7, 2013.

She was born Tuesday, March 1, 1927 in Dearborn County Indiana, Daughter of the late Norman Brewer and the late Marie Schaeffer Brewer.

She was a longtime member of the Greendale First Baptist Church. Mary was Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years, she touched many children’s lives with her positive and loving nature. She lived her life for Christ, her faith was first. A booklet was even written using Mary as the role model of an exempliary Sunday School Teacher. Her family, church family and friends were of great importance to her and she has left a legacy of love in the role that she has played called “life”.

Surviving are Children, Lester (Fran) Wilson of Cleves, OH, Charles LeRoy (DeAnna) Rogers of Indianapolis, IN, Norman Daniel “Dan” (Alison) Rogers of Lawrenceburg, IN, William “Mike” Michael (Sandy) Rogers of Lawrenceburg, IN; Sister, Dorothy Turner of Grants Lick, KY; Grandchildren, Lester Jr., Robbie, Angie, Jeremy, Aaron, Michelle, Amy, Nicholas, Brandon, Jennifer, Tara, Collin, Danielle & Matthew; 17 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rogers, Sisters; Anna Mae Brewer and Helen Wilson and Brother Buzzy Wade.

Friends will be received Sunday October 13, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the First Baptist Church Greendale, 45 Tebbs Av., Greendale, Indiana.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, at the Church with Mark Tanner officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bellview Cemetery, Bellview, KY.
