Mary Jane Fuchs

Mary Jane Fuchs, formerly of Dover, Indiana, was born on September 18, 1921 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Simon and Rose Riley Meister.  She married Frank A. Fuchs on August 26, 1950 at St. Patrick Church in Cincinnati, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2012.  Mary Jane was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the St. Leon Post #464, St. Joseph American Legion, the Dearborn County Democratic Committee, and the Ladies Sodality at All Saints.  She enjoyed volunteering at Good Samaritan Hospital, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.  On Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the age of 94, Mary Jane passed away at Shawneespring of Harrison, Ohio. 

 

Those surviving who will cherish Mary Jane’s memory include her daughters, Dorothy (Charles) Hautman of St. Leon, Valerie (Andy) Messina of Huntington Beach, CA, Marjorie Fuchs of Cincinnati, and Pamela (William) Herrmann of Connersville; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Milvy Meister of Cincinnati.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Thomas Meister.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at All Saints Parish, Dover Campus, from 10 to 11 a.m.  A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Father Jonathan Meyer, will begin at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
