img220Mary Ann Farrell, 76, of Aurora, IN, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014.

She was born Wednesday, March 3, 1937 in Camden, Ohio, Daughter of the late Robert Levi Mann and the late Eleanore Agnes Paxton Mann.

Mary Ann was a Class of ’55 graduate of Camden High School, and class of ’58 graduate of Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing.  She was employed by Dearborn County Hospital as a Registered nurse for 43 years.  Mary Ann married Victor Farrell on August 10, 1957.  She was a member of the Holmes Hill Church of Christ.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and was an avid reader, but her most enjoyable pasttime was visiting with family and friends.

Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years,Victor Farrell Sr.  To this union was born Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Haag,  Vicki Ann (husband Gary) Mangold, Victor “Chip” Herbert (wife Sharon) Farrell Jr., Teresa “Terri” Leigh Faber; Daniel Robert Farrell, Patrick “Mike” Michael Farrell, and Eleanore “Bitty” Jane (husband Dan) Blair; 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandson.

She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Eleanore Mann; sister Marjorie Jane (Mann) Flenner; daughter, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Haag; and grandson, Gary Ricky Mangold Jr.

Friends will be received 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Holmes Hill Church of Christ  Old St. Rd. 56, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Church on Thursday, at 11:00 am with Evangelist Tommy Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.

On Saturday, November 28 the Fourth Annual “Walk Off the Gravy” will begin at 10:00 AM.  Jerry Wilson will be the walk leader.  He has planned about a two hour walk that will take place on paved surfaces on the roadways on top of the big hill which could include the Campgrounds, Day Horse Area, Fire Tower Road, etc.  The assembly point will be the Oak Grove Shelter Parking Lot. Friends, family, and well behaved pets are welcome.  Should it be raining or rain is imminent, the events will be cancelled.  As always, proper footwear, fluids, hiking stick, and a camera are good ideas.
