Man Shot In Attempted Robbery Near Aurora Farmers Fair

AURORA, Ind. – Authorities are searching for two men after a robbery attempt near the Farmers Fair in Aurora Wednesday.

One man was shot during the incident that occurred along the Ohio River near the area of Importing Street and Judiciary Street around 8:30 p.m., police said.

The victim told investigators that two men approached him while he was in his vehicle and demanded cash, threatening with a handgun. The suspects did not get the cash but did shoot the victim.

The unidentified victim was taken to Dearborn County Hospital and later airlifted to UC Medical Center.

On Thursday morning, police tell us his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Police are looking for two white men, in their early 20’s, one wearing a green hoodie with the hood pulled up and long pants. The other suspect had a blue hoodie with the hood pulled up, short black hair, and long pants.
