Louise O’ Connor

Louise O’Connor, 70, of  Aurora, IN, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 in Rising Sun, IN.

She was born Wednesday, April 28, 1943 in Garrard County, KY, Daughter of the late Edward Holmes and the late Nancy Ellen Osborn Holmes.

She worked as a Nurses Aid for Terrace View & Shady Nook Nursing Homes, retiring after over         21 years of service.

Joseph & Louise were married for 51 years.  Louise was a member of the Wesleyan Church.  She enjoyed helping people.  Her faith, family & friends were important to her and she was an encourager.  She would drop little cards/notes to lift up people’s spirits.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph Wayne O’Connor, Aurora, IN; Daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Walter of Aurora, IN; Son, Denny Jo O’Connor of Aurora, IN;   Grandsons, Joseph Allen O’Connor, Andrew Robert  Walter and Lucas Lee Walter, all of Aurora, IN; Brother, Earl Wayne Holmes of Florence, IN; Sister, Deborah Kaye Fraizer of Indianapolis, IN; Several Nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and  Sisters, Wynonia Mosier, Beulah Mae Richards & Joyce Faye Turner.

Friends will be received 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, IN.

Services will be held at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 7:30 pm following visitation with Brother Kenneth Hopper officiating.

A pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday, October 10 to benefit the Food Pantry Building Fund. Sponsored by the Milan Lions Club. Serving from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Milan VFW. Tickets available from any Lions Club member. Pre-sale tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for ages 6 – 12, and free for preschoolers. Tickets at the door cost $1 more per ticket. A split-the-pot will also be held.
