loisclarkLois E. Clark, age 91, of Brookville, Indiana passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at Brookville Healthcare Center.

The daughter of Clarel O. and Ethel Bausbach Talbert, was born in Brookville, Indiana on August 23, 1922. Lois married Quentin E. Clark who passed away in 1993. Lois was the Marketing Director and Assistant Vice President for 35 years at FCN Bank and later became the Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce for over 12 years. She was a member and Sunday School Teacher of Brookville United Methodist Church, Charter member and Past President of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, member and Past President of the Womans Club, member and past Officer of the Franklin County Historical Society, member of the Garden Club, former Scout Leader, active supporter of Franklin County 4-H and an Honorary member of the National Honor Society. Lois was a tireless worker for the betterment of Franklin County and received many honors including Sagamore of the Wabash and the Humanitarian Award from the Franklin County Community Foundation in 2010. Lois also was selected as the Belle of the Brookville Bicentennial by the citizens of Brookville.
Lois was a shining and eternal example of service, compassion and love for all.

Those surviving who will honor Lois’ memory include sons Michael K. Clark and friend Carol Mooney of Indianapolis and Patric (Velda) Clark of Brookville, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death a sister, Dorothy Gesell and an 2 infant brothers.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana, with the funeral service immediately following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Franklin County EMS or Franklin County Community Foundation Lois E. Clark Brookville/Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Endowment or Hero Park Gazebo Endowment. We will provide a light lunch, at no cost, while discussing how we are serving the abused and neglected children in Jefferson and Ripley counties. December 18th – 11:30-12:30 at The Old Market on Main, 801 W. Main St. in Madison with food provided by Crystal & Jules. December 19th – 11:30 – 12:30 at the Big Four Cafe, 121 S.
