Local Schools Taking Part In Earthquake Drills Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS – Thousands of Hoosiers will practice how to drop, cover and hold on during the Great Shakeout Earthquake Drill Thursday. Participants across the world will take part in the annual drill occurring at 10:16 a.m.

Area schools participating include North Decatur Elementary, South Decatur Elementary, Brookville Middle School, Connersville Middle School and the entire Lawrenceburg school system.

The drill also extends to businesses, government facilities and museums.

There are approximately 477,000 Hoosiers exercising the drill today.
