The Margaret Mary Health Foundation recently received a gift from the William A. and Martha H. Hillenbrand Foundation. The $50,000 unrestricted gift will benefit the Foundation and its mission to improve the health and wellness of our communities.

“There is not another town in the United States that has a hospital and very dedicated caregivers like Margaret Mary. We are all so very fortunate to live in this wonderful community,” says Gus Hillenbrand, son of William and Martha.

The William A. and Martha H. Hillenbrand Foundation was established to support religious, educational and charitable projects in and around the Batesville, Indiana community that were significant to the couple.

Margaret Mary’s Health Foundation was established in 2012 to raise money to enhance hospital programs, services, technology and educational opportunities, and to engage the community as partners in health improvement. The Foundation’s role is to receive, manage and disburse funds to meet current hospital needs as well as ensure long-term growth and viability.

Mary Dickey, Executive Director of the Foundation says, “We are so appreciative of this very generous donation from the William A. and Martha H. Hillenbrand Foundation. This is not just a gift to the Margaret Mary Health Foundation; it is really a gift to the entire community as it in an investment in the good health of us all.”
