Lydia Woodward, owner of The Dance Studio, has announced a new name and status for the school. It is now known as Southeastern Indiana Dance, Inc., a non-profit corporation.

“We draw students from all over southeastern Indiana, so the name change seemed appropriate. Being a non-profit will open more doors to help us grow even more,” Woodward stated.

The five-member board of directors includes President Barney Sing, Vice-President Michelle Voss, Secretary Kristen Obermeyer, Temple Hite-Gordon, and Charlie Zimmerman.

Sing remarked, “The studio has done very well so far, and the board will be very active in taking it to the next level. We’re all very excited about the new name and status!”

Southeastern Indiana Dance, located in downtown Batesville, will begin its fall session the week of August 11, 2014 offering several new classes. For more information, please contact Lydia Woodward at 812-932-2046.
