Hill-Rom will lay off 350 employees, which is about 5 percent of its global workforce, according to reports.

The hospital bed company expects the layoffs and restructuring to create $30 million in annual savings. The company currently employs around 7,000 people globally, with approximately 2,000 of those located in Batesville.

No word on how many of the job cuts will impact local associates.

The company also reported that first quarter revenue fell 8.2 percent to 393 million, compared to 428 million in the same quarter last year.
