Linda Ritchie, 69 of Osgood passed away Thursday March 31, 2016 at her home. Linda was born Thursday December 12, 1946 in Milan the daughter of William and Opal (Hart) Westerman. Linda married Merrill Ritchie August 22, 1964 and he survives. She was a homemaker. Linda was a member of the National Brittany Rescue. She enjoyed collecting mugs, listening to the Gospel Group “Heavenly Reign”, wrote and published her own poetry and loved spending time with her family. She would lend a hand to anyone that needed it.
Linda is survived by Husband: Merrill Ritchie of Osgood; Son: Dennis (Julie) Ritchie of Indianapolis; Daughters: Michelle Koch of Lexington, Ky, Kimberly (Frank) McCane of Hanover, Bettie Geer of Madison; Sister: Emma Tickle of Greensburg; 11 Grandchildren: Tommi, Chris, Erika, Brittany (Brandon), Jeff, Kristen, Emily (Steve), Mandy (Dave), Trey, Tanner, Matthew, 11-Great Grandchildren: Shawna, Lydia, Harrison, Makaelynn, Rylee, Wes, Joey, Alli, Brandon Michael, Cooper, Ryu. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Virgil “Leo”, Billy, Jackie, Robert Kinnett; sisters: Roberta Tally, Mary Bottot, Louise Jordan, Betty Richardson.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM Monday April 4, 2016 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home with Julie Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow in Greendale Cemetery in Osgood. Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to National Brittany Rescue, Rescue 69 or American Cancer Society.
