OA’s season ended with a sectional semifinal loss to Rising Sun in an emotional and grueling 5 game set that lasted over 2 hours.
Senior Anna Dickman recorded another double-double with 21 kills and 11 blocks while recording 3 aces and 6 digs. Dickman scored 35 points for the Twisters. Hannah Moul recorded 4 blocks. Senior libero, Megan Dickman, finished the match with a record 57 digs while passing 59 serve receptions with only 7 errors.
The Twisters served 16 aces on 103 service attempts and had only 12 errors on 87 serve receive attempts. Setting duties were distributed between sophomore Elizabeth Fiutem, 20 assists, and senior Brittany Harrell, 18 assists.
“This was as hard a loss for us as we’ve had all season,” stated Head Coach Brian Patterson. “Not because it was the season ender, but because the girls prepared so well for this rematch. They had a good season and have every right to be proud of their accomplishments.”
Oldenburg finishes the season with an 18-17 record.
