Lady Twisters Down Lady Spartans In Soccer

SoccerLast night the Lady Twister’s traveled to Connersville High School, OA came out with the 5-0 victory.

This was the fifth game in 6 days for the girls, but it was great game to give some girls a rest and let a lot of our underclassman play. The first goal of the night was scored by Cori Hammoor as she received the ball from a throw in and with a great first touch she was able to find the net. Goal number two and three on the night came from sophomore Haleigh Reed. Reed has really been able to work on her first touch this season thus far and it has greatly improved her game. The fourth goal on the night came off of a penalty shot from senior Emma Schulte. The final goal of the evening came with 17 minutes left in the second half by junior Andrea Rinck from an assist by Cori Hammoor. Regan Weberding and freshman, Lizzie Kelnhofer were able to split time last night. Kelnhofer is gaining so much confidence in the back as the season progresses.

OA improves to 7-2 on the year and they will take on Seymour High School with a double header with the boys team following.
