EC Volleyball wrapped up the regular season tonight with wins at all three levels in straight sets.
We had our annual Dig Pink event to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. It was a successful night in every aspect. Both teams did a great job honoring those fighting the battle, those who have lost the battle, and those who have survived the battle.
We mixed things up tonight. We tried some new things and new rotations in hopes of having a few different threats in the post season. The girls did a great job at adjusting and showed a lot of promise in a different strategy.
It was a great regular season. I’m proud of ECVB at all three levels. Our freshman finished with an undefeated record and our JV team only dropped one match all year. All three teams finished as EIAC Champs! We have a bright future ahead of us, but our focus on this year is far from over. The weight of the world is on the shoulder of these varsity players. We have high expectations for the post season.
Varsity finished the regular season 26-6 and 13-1 in EIAC action.
Next up: Varsity travels to Columbus East on Saturday, October 25 to face the winner of Columbus East and Columbus North. Our match will begin immediately following the match between Bloomington North and South. Championship game will be at 7 PM that night.
