Lady Eagles Regional Champs!

JCD Eagles BallKudos to The Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles on winning The Class 1A Basketball Regional Title at Southwestern Shelby.

In the earlier Regional Games, JCD defeated The Indy Tindley Lady Tigers 74-30.  The White River Valley Lady Wolverines won against The Morristown Lady Jackets 48-45.

For The Regional Championship Game, The Lady Eagles captured their 6th Regional Crown by edging out WRV by the score of 53-52.

This is the 2nd Regional Championship Win for Coach Scott Smith.

JCD will be advancing on to The Semi-States on Saturday (3-1) battling The Vincennes Rivet Lady Patriots in The Class 1A Southern Bracket.  The game will be played at Richmond tipping off at 1 PM.

The Annual 21st Crackaway Daze Festival will be held on September 20 – 21 at the Saltcreek Township Park in New Point, Indiana (located 8 miles east of Greensburg or 6 miles west of Batesville on Hwy 46 or south 850 just off of I-74 Exit 143. Park is on left along Hwy 46). Parade at 11:00 am on Saturday. Flea market in the park (contact Rosa at 812-593-7611 or email at rosa@etczone.com). Great food for both days (roast plus more on Saturday). Our famous fried chicken with all the trimmings on Sunday, served by the New Point Kiwanis Club. Homemade ice cream by Smyrna Church. Fun for the kids and adults (bed race, antique cars and trucks and farm equipment, kettle bean soup). Entertainment, drawings (50/50 pot), hot dog stand, snow cones and much more! Thanks to all that donate and help in any way!
