The North Decatur Lady Chargers Volleyball team came back from an 0-2 deficit to win their first round match against Southwestern (Hanover) in the Switzerland County Sectional on Thursday night in the 6 PM match.
Scores: 23-25, 20-25, 25-23, 27-25, 15-13.
The Lady Chargers only had 4 service errors as they served 104 of 108 as a team (96%) with 7 aces and 55 points won. Olivia Siefert led with 25 of 25 serves, 3 aces, and 18 points won. Anna Schwering served 23 of 23 for 11 points. Laura Haunert served 18 of 19 for 9 points won. Kaitlin Herbert served 14 of 15 with 2 aces and 7 points won. Mary Hughes served 14 of 14 and Kiley Stier served 10 of 11.

Sarah Bohman led the Charger offensive attack with 14 kills, hitting 31 of 37. Anna Schwering added 9 kills on 27 attempts. Kaitlin Herbert added 7 kills on 26 attemps. Olivia Siefert hit a high percentage, 17 of 18 with 6 kills. Samantha Krieger added 3 kills and Baili Ewing added 2 kills from the back row.
The Chargers blocked well with 52 blocks and 13 block kills. Sarah Bohman led with 17 blocks and 3 block kills. Olivia Siefert added 12 blocks and 4 block kills. Chelsi Schubert had 11 blocks and 4 block kills. Samantha Krieger had 9 blocks and Anna Schwering added 2 block kills on 2 blocks.
Kiley Stier set 59 of 62 with 17 assists and Laura Haunert set 48 of 49 with 12 assists. Samantha Krieger led the secondary setting with 9 of 9 sets for 4 assists. Mary Hughes and Chelsi Schubert each added an assist.

The Lady Chargers will play their semi-final match at 11 AM on Saturday vs. the host school Switzerland County Pacers, who beat South Ripley on Thursday night. The winner will play the winner of the second semi-final match between Milan and Austin at 7pm.
