The 7th grade Batesville Middle School Volleyball Team picked up a 2 set victory over Brookville winning by the scores 25-21; 25-24.
Abby Westerfeld was perfect on all 13 of her serves earning 9 points including 7 aces, while Sydney Huffner was 10 for 10 earning 5 points
including 2 aces. Macy Prickel pounded 3 kills at the net, while Biz Mullen and Ellie Cassidy were the top passers with 8 and 6 good passes respectively.
The 8th grade BMS volleyball team was also victorious outlasting Brookville 25-21; 21-25; 15-4.
Maggie Walsman hit 16 of 17 serves scoring 11 points including an impressive 8 aces. Jennifer Speer was perfect on all 8 of her serves earning 6 points, including the final 4 points of the match. Kylie Wanninger and Caitlynn Werner chipped in with 5 aces each contributing 10 and 5 service points respectively. Tori Kurtz, Hattie Westerfeld, and Werner each led the offensive attack with 3 kills a piece.
Both teams are 3-2 on the season and will play St. Nicholas at home on Thursday.
