The Batesville Lady Bulldogs defeated East Central in tennis Friday night. The Lady Bulldogs were 4-1 winners in varsity action and took the junior varsity match by a score of 5-0.
Sarah Hoseus was a winner at No. 2 singles over Lizzy Weigel 6-0, 6-0.
Ally Ritter defeated Sophia Imeroni 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
Kelli Hartman and Brooke Bradford rallied to win in three sets 3-6,
6-3 and 7-5 over Laura Kuebel and Abby Ashton.
At No. 2 doubles, Macy Simon and Karsen Worthington knocked off Gwen Kern and Morgan Weber 6-3, 6-2.
The lone EC win came in a tough three set match at No. 1 singles.
Alyssa DeFiglio defeated Lydia Olsen 2-6, 7-5 and 6-3.
Winning junior varsity singles matches for the Lady Bulldogs were Alana Pinckley, Grace Heppner and Jenna Harmeyer. Doubles winners were Gabby Cooper/Erin Longstreth, Anna Kick/Julia Hunter.
