Lady Bulldogs Fall To Lady Trojans In SEI Volleyball Tourney

VolleyballThe BMS 7th grade volleyball team battled Sunman Dearborn to the final match point falling just short of advancing to the championship game. Scores were 17-25; 25-21; 15-14.

Kylie Laker, 9 points including 7 aces, and Belle Wolters, 8 points including 3 aces, were the top servers for the match. Grace Habig chipped in with 5 straight service points. Wolters and Nikki Fox each earned 3 kills in the front line. McKenna DeFreese was also aggressive at the net earning 2 kills while connecting on all 7 of her spiking attempts. Laine Struewing was a solid 4 for 4 spiking with 2 kills. Grace Sarringhaus and Chloe Schroeder were accurate passers from their back row positions.

The BMS 8th grade volleyball team finished their season with a close 2 game loss to Sunman Dearborn with the scores 25-20, 25-20.

The team gained momentum at certain points in the match but were unable to capitalize by maintaining service control. Abby Westerfeld (8 points with 6 aces) and Macy Prickel (6 points with 5 aces) were the top servers for the team. Prickel and Westerfeld also led the offensive attack with 4 kills at the net, while Jade Pflum contributed 1.

Despite the losses, the volleyball teams represented BMS well all season long demonstrating great teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill. We are proud of you, girls!
