The Batesville Bulldogs hosted the Connersville Spartans in a conference match up on Saturday afternoon losing 9-0.
The Spartans posted 9 runs in 6 innings of play and although the Bulldogs threatened in 4 innings to score, they were unable to find the big hit to push any runs across the plate.
The game was called when two Bulldogs players collided in the outfield making the final out at the top of the 6th inning. The final score was 9-0.
Key performers for the Bulldogs were Gabi Garcia going 2-2, Whitney Axsom and Sarah Meyer went 1-2 with doubles, and Bre Hartman went 1-2.
The Bulldogs are now 4-12 on the season and 2-7 in conference play. They will host the Rising Sun Shiners tonight in a non-conference match up.
