The Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers defeated The Batesville Lady Bulldogs 25-16, 25-16, 25-12 In The Volleyball Sectionals at Brookville.
Lawrenceburg had not won a sectional in nine years and Batesville had not lost a sectional in nine years, so the hungry team wins the match. Lawrenceburg came with a game plan to which they executed very well while Batesville sat back with a timid play not to lose attitude.
‘We never really got into system but three or four plays per set. When we could run in system, we seemed to score with relative ease, or at minimum get a free ball back. Not to take anything away from the Lady Tigers, their defense held tough the entire match.
