Varsity Bulldogs 0 – New Palestine 1

Batesville hosted New Palestine on Monday night and were defeated by a final score of 1-0. Amy Hilton put the Dragons out in front in the first 15 minutes of the game with a breakaway goal and a nice finish past Batesville’s keeper Alex Lipinski. The Dragons outplayed the Bulldogs for the first 20 minutes and were winning the 50/50 balls. The Bulldogs responded and had several nice looks at goal the remainder of the half but the Dragon defense held strong. In the second half, Batesville came out with a lot of energy and controlled the game much of the second half. The Dragon goalkeeper saved multiple chances at goal to keep the match 1-0. Despite outshooting the Dragons 20-7, the Bulldog offense was held scoreless.

The Bulldogs fall to 2-1 on the season and are back in action Thursday in another EIAC match against the Greensburg Pirates.
