LaDonna Mae Jordan passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her home in Manchester, IN at 70 years of age.  Born on October 4, 1943 in Potoskey, Michigan to the late William & Helen (Stoll) Getty. She was a 1962 graduate of Manton High School in Michigan.    In 2008 she retired from many years of service at Hill-Rom.  LaDonna was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Penntown, IN.

Loving mother of Kellian (Matthew) Neff and Raymond “Sonny” Jordan both of Manchester, IN, step-mother of Kimberly Brown of Seymour, IN and Kenny Ray Jordan of Friendship, IN, grandmother of Bella, Matthew, Emma, Monty, Ashley, Tyler, Summer & Kenny Ray; dear sister of Gerald Getty of Cadillac, MI, James Getty of Travers City, MI; beloved aunt of Jimmy, Tim, Pammie & Kim and sister-in-law of Edith Antill of Batesville, IN.

Visitation, Tuesday, December 17 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home 1150 St. Rd. 46 E, Batesville, IN 47006.  Funeral Services 11:00am on Wednesday, December 18th at the New Testament Baptist Church in Penntown, IN.  Pastor Andy Streit officiating with burial to follow in the New Busse Cemetery in Manchester, IN.

South Ripley’s Polar Plunge Team is raising money and taking the plunge for Special Olympics Indiana. Gold Star Chili in Versailles is going to support our team by giving the team 10% of their sales from 4 – 9 pm on Thursday, February 11. **Individual donations may also be given to Dylan McFarland, Alex Garcia, or Brenda Strimple.** Join us for the Polar Plunge on  Saturday, February 20 at Versailles Lake at the Versailles State Park. Plunge time is 2:00 pm.

Would you like to hire a small elite choir to serenade your honey for Valentine’s Day?  Now you can!  Franklin County High School Choir elite singers in tuxedoes and formal gowns will be travelling to front porches and businesses in the Brookville area on Friday, February 12th between the hours of 9am and 3pm. For $25 not only will your sweetie be serenaded, but he or she will receive a red rose and a special note from you. Additional roses/gifts are available, as well as travel outside the immediate Brookville area, for additional cost. Scheduling is limited, so don’t delay!
