Kenny Sharp, 68 of Milan passed away peacefully at his home Friday March 7, 2014 surrounded by his Family.  Kenny was born Sunday May 27, 1945 in Ohio County, Indiana the son of James Miller and Wilma Alice (Buddenberg) Sharp.  He married Brenda Ridenour Saturday June 17, 1972, who survives.  Kenny served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam era, and retired as a supervisor at the Joseph Seagrams Co.  He was a lifetime farmer, a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Milan, the American and Indiana Quarter Horse Association, the Milan VFW and the Milan American Legion.  He loved college basketball and was an avid Colts fan.  He loved showing quarter horses, playing poker, euchre, fishing, squirrel hunting, cook outs and most of all spending time with his Family. 

 

Kenny is survived by his wife, Brenda, son Jeff Sharp and daughter Kris (Ron) Bushhorn, sister Barbara (David) Scranton, Grandchildren Delaney, Karley, and Colby Bushhorn, Father in law David Ridenour, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

 

Funeral services will be Wednesday March 12, 2014, 11AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church. 7124 N. St. Road 101, Milan, with Pastor Susan Socha officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday March 11 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.  Memorials may be made in his name to the Delaware Fire Dept. or Margaret Mary Health Foundation Cancer Center through the funeral home.  Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements, Box 243, 707 S. God’s Bright Treasures Ministry is collecting 7,500 pairs of shoes to raise funds for our center, to help those in need and to keep shoes from going into the landfills. We are asking for the community’s help to accomplish this. We have already collected 2,600 pairs so far! God’s Bright Treasures is a non-profit child care facility in Bright, Indiana. We have a shoe collection box at the business of Quality Auto Mart at 7307 St. Rd. 46 E., Batesville, IN 47041 or they can bring their shoes to our location at 25365 State Line Road, Bright, IN 47025. Please clean out your unwanted, gently worn, used shoes and donate them. Efforts to help ensure a sufficient blood supply for patients during the holiday season are underway. Patients don’t get a holiday from needing donated blood! How to donate blood Simply download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.   Places to donate: redcross
