The community of Osgood lost another familiar and very community service oriented man on Monday July 4, 2016. Kenneth Alfred Hill, age 64, passed away, with his family by his side, at UC Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Kenny was born on June 15, 1952 in Milan, IN the son of Leonard L. and Juanita (Sommer) Hill. He attended Rising Sun High School and was a graduate of the class 1970. He married Inia M. Bradley on July 4, 1975 and they were blessed with 4 children. Kenny worked for 11 years at Gecom and also at The Coca Cola Bottle Company in Aurora, IN for 10 plus years.

Kenny was a Charter member of Rescue 69 and Task Unit 1, helping to achieve their standing in the community today. He was also a member of the Osgood Fire Department for many years. Kenny was Cub Master of Pack 640 of Osgood and also Scout Leader of Pack 631 from Milan. He enjoyed fishing and camping. However, he hated to untangle that “damn fishing line”! Not only did he enjoy catching fish, but he loved to eat them at any restaurant he went to! His favorite past time was shooting his guns, his favorite being “Big Bertha.” He loved listening to his music and had a strong affection for whatever animal was around him. He was passionate about Nascar and was a strong follower of Sterling Marlin and Jamie McMurray. When it came to NHRA, it was all about John Force, as he loved watching John “Light the Candles.” Ken was a veteran who proudly served his country in The United States Army. He was always willing to help out with anything his kids or family needed.

Kenny was proceeded in death by his parents and one son, Steven Douglas. He is survived by wife Inia at home, along with son Nicholas and wife Cassie Hill of Cambridge City, IN; daughter Candice and husband Michael Goddard of Benham, IN and daughter Cassandra and husband Randy Hornsby of Benham. He is also survived by grandchildren Cheyenne, Cherokee, Shawnee, and Maddison, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a brother and sister.
