Jamie Lynn Harlow

Jamie Lynn Harlow, age 24, of Scottsburg, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on August 15, 1989, in Dearborn County, Indiana, the loving daughter of, Barry Glenn Harlow & Becky (Lock) Wymer. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana, where she attended school. Jamie was employed in Housekeeping at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana. She was also employed in Laundry at the River Valley Health Care in Clarksville, Indiana. She resided in Scott County, Indiana, most of her life. Jamie will be remembered for her love of playing video games & talking on the phone. She loved the University of Kentucky Wildcats & dolphins. Jamie died at 8:35 pm, Thursday, October 10, 2013, at her residence in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Jamie will be missed by her father: Barry Glenn Harlow &  his partner: Joe Brooks of Scottsburg, IN; her mother & step-father: Becky (Lock) Wymer & her husband: Bill of Vevay, IN; her brother: Timothy Glenn Harlow & his wife: Stephanie of Madison, IN; her grandfather: George Harlow of Vevay, IN; her grandmother: Betty (Lewis) Lock of Vevay, IN; her nieces: Charity Galbreath & Kayla Galbreath; her nephews: Robert “Bobby” Galbreath & Logan Galbreath; her aunts: Julie Lock of Vevay, IN, Debbie Rogge of Bossier City, LA, Becky Harlow of Vevay, IN, Marsha Harry of Lexington, IN, Bonnie Meyer of Edinburgh, IN & JoAnn McGriffin of HI; her uncles: Buster Harlow of East Enterprise, IN, Rick Harlow of Aberdeen, IN, Tommy Harlow of Scottsburg, IN, David Lewis of Hanover, IN & Charlie Lock of Madison, IN; her great-aunts: Shirley Tingle of Vevay, IN, Mary Jane Kincaid of East Enterprise, IN, Martha Lewis of Vevay, IN, Marry Palmer of Aurora, IN, Becky Mattscheck of Fairfield, OH & Maggie Crocker of Fairfield, OH; her great-uncles: Mike Lewis of Vevay, IN & Robert Lee Harlow of Dry Ridge, KY; her numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Louis Lock & Faye Harlow; her great-grandfather & great- grandmother: Bradley & Helen Lewis; her uncles: Gary Hill & Matthew Harlow; her great-aunt: Alma Louise Lewis; her great-uncles: Ralph Lock, Robert Lock & Whidd Lock.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 14, 2013, at 1:00 pm, by Bro. Anthony Wilks, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.  Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Aberdeen, Indiana

St. Louis Catholic Church is having their Mock Turtle Soup Sale! Monday, September 15- noon-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 16- 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 17-Friday, September 19- 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Sunday, September 21- during the annual St. Louis Church Festival, theMock Turtle Soup will be available for sale until it’s gone. Please enter through the Activity Center doors only! The soup will also be available through the week at Schmidt’s Bakery during their normal business hours. If you have any empty quart, half-gallon, or gallon jars you can spare (or canning lids and/or rings), you can bring them to the SLS Activity Center or Schmidt’s Bakery, as jars and lids are still needed to bottle the soup throughout the week.

The Annual 21st Crackaway Daze Festival will be held on September 20 – 21 at the Saltcreek Township Park in New Point, Indiana (located 8 miles east of Greensburg or 6 miles west of Batesville on Hwy 46 or south 850 just off of I-74 Exit 143. Park is on left along Hwy 46). Parade at 11:00 am on Saturday. Flea market in the park (contact Rosa at 812-593-7611 or email at rosa@etczone.com). Great food for both days (roast plus more on Saturday). Our famous fried chicken with all the trimmings on Sunday, served by the New Point Kiwanis Club. Homemade ice cream by Smyrna Church. Fun for the kids and adults (bed race, antique cars and trucks and farm equipment, kettle bean soup). Entertainment, drawings (50/50 pot), hot dog stand, snow cones and much more!
