James “Jim Bob” Eadler

A smiling face, whom never met a stranger in the community, James “Jim Bob” Robert Eadler age 84 passed away Friday May 19, 2017 in Osgood. He was born on June 14, 1932 the son of Robert and Mildred (Francis) Eadler in Ripley County. He spent his entire life “growing up” in the area!

He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Jim Bob married the love of his life Daisy Dean Paul and she preceded him in death on July 14, 1992. Most people in the area have been involved at some point in one of his conversations, or joking around on various topics. He worked as a custodian at Jac-Cen-Del during the 70’s and into the early 80’s, then spent a few years working at the Ripley County Bank. In the late 80’s he began the final chapter in his work career at the U S Post office in Osgood. He was always willing to help wherever he could.

He is survived by brothers Bernard “Benny” (Theresa) Eadler and Roger (Priscilla) Eadler both of Osgood; one sister, Mary Jane (Ronnie) Horn of Versailles also survives. He was preceded in death by one sister, Cheryl “Susie” Chaney.

Jim Bob wanted to make it clear there will be no services, just take a minute and go fishing!
