IU East Gets 14 Percent More Funding From State

RICHMOND, In. – Indiana University East is receiving a 14 percent increase for operating funds for next year from the state.

The formula for how much a public college or university receives is based on performance measures such as the number of degrees completed and number of students graduating on time.

IU East has earned the highest jump in funding for any state supported college. Ivy Tech is receiving even percent more, Indiana University-Bloomington is getting 4.9 percent more, Ball State receives a 2.1 percent jump and there was no increase for Purdue University.
