BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University will open the 2014-2015 season tonight with an exhibition matchup at home against Northwood University at 7 p.m.

The game comes at a turbulent time for the athletic program as three basketball players have recently been suspended.

Freshman Emmitt Holt will be held out after his vehicle struck teammate Devin Davis over the weekend. Investigators said Monday that Davis was mostly to blame for the accident.

Sophomores Standford Robinson and Troy Williams are benched for reportedly failing drug tests.

Oldenburg native Jake Paul is an IU freshman and says there is a lot of buzz around campus.

“Sitting next to those guys in class and talking to them around campus, you get to know their personal side,” Paul explains.  “At times, I think people forget that these guys are college students.”

“They are going to make mistakes, just like the rest of us, but I just hope they have all learned from their mistakes and teammates mistakes and can move on as the basketball season quickly approaches.”
