Hillenbrand Resigns From Hill-Rom Board

W August Hillenbrand informed Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. of his resignation from the Board of Directors on Monday. The resignation is effective immediately.

According to the organization, he served as a director for Hill-Rom Holdings since 1972. He was Chief Executive Officer of Hill-Rom from 1989 until 2000 and was President of Hill-Rom from 1981 until 1999.

Upon his resignation, the Board of Directors nominated William Dempsey, 62, to replace Hillenbrand’s position at the next annual stockholders meeting.

Dempsey was previously the Executive Vice President of Global Pharmaceuticals for Abbott Laboratories from 1982-2007. He currently serves as director for Landauer Inc., Nordion Inc. and Hospira, Inc.

The Annual 21st Crackaway Daze Festival will be held on September 20 – 21 at the Saltcreek Township Park in New Point, Indiana (located 8 miles east of Greensburg or 6 miles west of Batesville on Hwy 46 or south 850 just off of I-74 Exit 143. Park is on left along Hwy 46). Parade at 11:00 am on Saturday. Flea market in the park (contact Rosa at 812-593-7611 or email at rosa@etczone.com). Great food for both days (roast plus more on Saturday). Our famous fried chicken with all the trimmings on Sunday, served by the New Point Kiwanis Club. Homemade ice cream by Smyrna Church. Fun for the kids and adults (bed race, antique cars and trucks and farm equipment, kettle bean soup). Entertainment, drawings (50/50 pot), hot dog stand, snow cones and much more!
