Hildegard Hall, age 87 of Batesville, Indiana, passed away February 17, 2014.  She was born on September 5, 1926 in Austria to Felix and Johanna Indinger Bichler.

Hildegard loved to tell everyone she was a “war bride” who met her husband, Edmond R. Hall during World War II.  They were married in Sunman on June 15, 1947.  She was a homemaker who attended St. Anthony Church in Morris, and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.  Hildegard also loved birds, especially hummingbirds and finches.

Those left to honor Hildegard include; daughters, Trueline (Rex) Johnson of Batesville, Charlotte (Gary) Goodpaster of Milan, Deborah (Brian) Powers of Osgood, and Edwina (Russell) Callan of Osgood; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and son, Harold E. Hall, and two grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Father Shaun Whittington, will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Morris.  Burial will follow in Little Memory Cemetery, Sunman.

Memorial donations may be directed to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Hospice of Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Sunman American Legion, Little Memory Church, or the local Humane Society.  Personal condolences can be left for the family at www.cookfuneral.com
