Heather R. Hensley, age 25 of Connersville, IN passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014.
Heather was born on February 27, 1989 in Oxford, OH and is the daughter of Zeke & Donetta (Halcomb) Hensley of Laurel, IN.
In addition to her parents, Heather will be missed by her sister Josie Waltz of Brookville, IN; her grandmother’s Donna Halcomb of Laurel, IN & Jody Abshire of Laurel, IN.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Joe Hensley & Jim Halcomb.
Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 4-8pm at Metamora Church of God, 20152 U.S. 52, Laurel, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00am at the church with Pastor Wayne Ison officiating. Burial will follow services in Laurel North Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donors’ choice. Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.

The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3183 is sponsoring an art contest for students in grades 9-12. The contest is a great way to earn money for college. The art must be on paper or canvas and have a patriotic theme. Digital Art is not accepted. The art must be original. Judging is based on originality, presentation, and patriotism expressed. There are monetary awards given locally and at the state level. The national winners will receive scholarships. Home schooled students are eligible, foreign exchange are not. Your entry must be signed by a teacher. You can obtain an entry form by calling Kay Pulskamp, chairperson at 934-3442. Please submit your art by March 31, 2015. The first place winner will be sent to the State Scholarships Chairman for judging. Your art will be returned to you after judging is complete.
