Glyndora Combs, age 78, passed away February 21, 2014 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. She was born on August 15, 1935 in Hot Spot, Kentucky to Clayton and Lila Cornett Combs.  She loved being outdoors and enjoyed participating in the activities at Ripley Crossing.

Those surviving who will honor Glyndora’s memory include; sisters and brothers, Norma Goodpaster of Dunedin, FL, Billy Jack Combs of Tarpon Springs, FL, Donald Combs of Tampa, FL, Eunice Derringer of Sunman, Charles Combs of Sunman, Larry Combs of Milan, Darrell Combs of Aurora, Tommy Combs of West Virginia, and Sharon Combs of Milan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Pauline Haney.

Visitation is Monday, February 24, 2014 from 4-7 at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. with brothers Robert Haney, Charlie Combs and Tim Justice officiating.  Burial will follow in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.    The family requests memorial donations to Little Pilgrim Home Church.  Personal condolences may be left for the family at www.cookfuneral.com

This non-competitive event is designed for walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. All money raised benefits the Margaret Mary Health Foundation’s Hospice fund. The Hospice program provides a special way of caring for people with terminal illnesses and their loved ones regardless of their ability to pay. Registration is $15 per person.
