Gary A. Davis, 71

Gary A. Davis, 71, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born, May 1, 1945 in Huntington, Indiana, he was the son of Shirley A. and Sadie (Murphy) Davis.
Gary graduated in 1963 from Sandusky High School.
He had worked for 20 years at Union Bank & Trust and then worked at Premier Ag. LLC for 20 plus years.
He was a member of the Sandusky Methodist Church and the Sandusky Methodist Men.
Gary was an avid bowler, loved hunting, gardening, fishing, playing cribbage and 500.
He played in a euchre club with his friends for over 20 years. He loved fishing with his grandchildren and his friend, Don, watching his niece and godchild, Amanda play volleyball in high school and college, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was married to Marilyn Hortemiller on November 8, 1974 and she survives.
He is also survived by one son, Theodore A. (Shirley Clemons) Davis, Franklin County; one daughter, Stacey L. (Troy) Ashley, Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Camren Ashley, Sadie Ashley, Nadine Davis, Noah Davis; two brother-in-laws, Bill (Jan) Hortemiller, Batesville, Bob (Betty) Hortemiller, Batesville; two sister-in-laws, Carolyn (Richard) Dieckmann, Batesville, Mary Beth (Jerry) Dickman, Batesville; twelve nieces and nephews; four great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Sadie; in laws, Paul and Agnes Hortemiller .
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 to 2:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Waddle and Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greensburg.
Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Cancer Center or to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund.
