BROOKVILLE – Franklin County’s Area Planning Commission (APC) is currently operating without an executive director.
Director Larry Franzman served the position for more than twenty years prior to announcing his resignation at the APC meeting August 13.
Franzman cited that APC members were undermining his authority making it difficult to do his job, the Franklin County Observer reports.
The executive director position remains vacant as commission members will meet early next week to determine following steps.
The APC is responsible for issuing building permits, administrating zoning regulations and conducting building inspections throughout the county.
