Landowners, educators, and resource managers interested in learning more about forest and wildlife management options for their property can attend an educational field day at the Southeast Purdue Agricultural Center in Butlerville on Saturday, May 31, 2014.
This program will provide indoor and outdoor presentations on timber and biomass harvesting practices, markets for various forest products, wildlife habitat management and the effects of forest management on wildlife, forest regeneration techniques, fencing to control deer damage, and insect responses to forest management practices. This program will be relevant to landowners, educators and resource managers interested in forest product markets, management options, and their implications for wildlife and forest regeneration. Participants will visit active research locations and learn about the various projects from the researchers and resource managers involved.

Registration is free and includes a lunch, but advanced registration is required by May 27 and attendance will be limited to the first 40 registrations received.
