Football Field & Goal PostWRBI Area Football 1st Round Sectional Scores.

On The Radio, The Indian Creek Braves ended The Batesville Bulldogs season by winning 17-14 in Sectional 30 play.  The Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season and end their ’13 campaign at 9-1.

On The Web, The East Central Trojans won their opening Sectional 23 Game by defeating The Connersville Spartans 28-8.  EC improves to 4-6 on the season and will host The Shelbyville Golden Bears in The Sectional Semi-Finals next Friday Night.

The Annual 21st Crackaway Daze Festival will be held on September 20 – 21 at the Saltcreek Township Park in New Point, Indiana (located 8 miles east of Greensburg or 6 miles west of Batesville on Hwy 46 or south 850 just off of I-74 Exit 143. Park is on left along Hwy 46). Parade at 11:00 am on Saturday. Flea market in the park (contact Rosa at 812-593-7611 or email at rosa@etczone.com). Great food for both days (roast plus more on Saturday). Our famous fried chicken with all the trimmings on Sunday, served by the New Point Kiwanis Club. Homemade ice cream by Smyrna Church. Fun for the kids and adults (bed race, antique cars and trucks and farm equipment, kettle bean soup). Entertainment, drawings (50/50 pot), hot dog stand, snow cones and much more!
