DALLAS, TX. – The first Ebola patient diagnosed in the United States has died, hospital officials say.

42-year-old Thomas Eric Duncan passed away at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Tuesday morning.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed the Ebola case more than a week ago.

The Indiana State Department of Health officials the virus us not circulating at this time. The agency released some additional information about Ebola earlier this week.
