Emma Lee Bevis, 79, of Versailles, Indiana passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016.
She was born Friday, December 4, 1936 in Dearborn County, Indiana, Daughter of the late Charles Kittle Sr. and the late Gertrude Scudder Kittle.
Emma was a member of Crossroads Community Wesleyan Church in Holton, Indiana. Her faith was very important to her, she read her Bible all the time and loved to sing church hymns. She enjoyed going to auctions, shopping and going out to eat. Emma collected angels, teddy bears, porcelain dolls and religious items. She always enjoyed her trips to the Smokey Mountains with her husband James; and being with her family was her greatest past time.
Surviving are children, Brenda Sue (Rick) Barrows of Bennington, IN, James Bevis Jr(Mary Southerland) of Minneapolis, MN, Raymond (Esther) Bevis of Aurora, IN, Barbara (Harvey) Butler of Aurora, IN, Andy (Jill) Bevis of Madison, IN, Billy (Donna) Bevis of East Enterprise, IN, Christeen Bevis of Versailles, IN, Theresa Helton of Aurora, IN, Tony (Tonya) Bevis of Moores Hill, IN; brother, Jerry Kittle; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James and siblings, Charles Kittle Jr., Larry Kittle, Betty Beach and Frieda Stille and Marsella Beach.
Friends will be received 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana
Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
