Emergency Workers Search For Missing Sunman Man

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a missing man.

Paul R. Batta, 56, was last seen around 8 p.m. Saturday leaving his residence at 10824 North Dearborn Rd. and riding a bicycle.

He is described as a white male, 6’4” tall, weighs approximately 226 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, and has a beard which is trimmed. He may be wearing a gray or brown T-shirt and brown shorts.

A witness stated that a search party is set up Monday evening on Lawrenceville Road about a mile from S.R. 46.

Anyone with information that can help authorities locate Batta, is urged to contact the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office at (812) 537-3431.

Tickets available from any Lions Club member. Pre-sale tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for ages 6 – 12, and free for preschoolers. Tickets at the door cost $1 more per ticket. A split-the-pot will also be held.
